EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Minimum Certifications Required: MCSE, CCNA, or equivalents (Applicants without minimum required or equivalent certifications will NOT be considered)
- Preferred Certifications: Cisco, Juniper, HP – Switches, Routers, Firewalls
SKILLS & QUALITIES
- Minimum 5 years Network Engineer/Server Administrator
- Network design and implementation
- Excellent communication skills
- Project management skills
- Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, serving multiple clients each day
- Windows Server – AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL
- Virtualization – VMware or Hyper V
EXPERIENCE
- Experience with local government, school districts, or other public entities a plus
- Video security and VoIP experience bonus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initial responsibility will be network/server design & implementation for a variety of clients
- Support multiple clients each day
- High-level strategy, assessment, and planning, for server and network upgrades
- Develop and recommend technology solutions
- Design, develop, and test disaster recovery plans and procedures
- Assist with developing, implementing, and enforcing IT policies and procedures
- Prepare specifications for bid documents; review and evaluate proposals
- Work with vendors to correct hardware and software malfunctions and improve efficiencies
- Respond to and resolve difficult inquiries and complaints
- Provide emergency response to system failures, and off-hours scheduled maintenance
